Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola, August 27, 2026 — Steve Piché officially announces his candidacy for the Conservative Party of Québec in the riding of Berthier for the upcoming provincial election.

A hands-on manager and certified human resources professional, Steve Piché has more than 15 years of experience working with entrepreneurs, managers and workers. He now wants to put that experience to work for the people of Berthier.

“I’m not asking people to vote based only on a political label. I invite them to look at my background, how I work and my involvement in the region. For those who want an accessible, practical MNA who can deliver results, I want to be the sensible choice in Berthier.”

A candidacy for all of Berthier

The riding of Berthier covers a vast territory with many different realities. It includes municipalities in D’Autray and Matawinie, rural communities, agricultural areas, businesses, workers and the Atikamekw community of Manawan.

Steve Piché intends to run a campaign with a strong presence in the community, meeting residents, municipal officials, entrepreneurs and community organizations.

“From Berthierville to Saint-Michel-des-Saints, from the river to Manawan, needs are not the same everywhere. My role will be to listen, understand and represent the entire riding with the same attention.”

Practical management experience

During his career, Steve Piché has led teams and supported organizations in transportation, construction, industrial electrical work, automation and services. He has been a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés since 2012.

His regional involvement predates his candidacy by many years. For ten years, from 2013 to 2023, Steve Piché was involved with the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie Berthier–D’Autray (CCIBA), holding several roles, including board member, secretary, vice-president and president from 2018 to 2021.

He was also an active voice within the Alliance des chambres de commerce de Lanaudière and a board member representing the region at the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) from 2017 to 2019. That experience allowed him to work directly with entrepreneurs and community stakeholders on concrete economic and regional development issues.

His campaign will focus particularly on small business vitality, workforce availability, local services, regional autonomy, responsible public finances and reducing bureaucracy.

“Residents are not waiting for complicated promises. They want services that work, decisions they can understand and representatives who show up. That is the practical approach I want to bring to Québec politics.”
