Agriculture and the next generation of farmers are among my priorities for Berthier. My commitment is to stand up for farmers, reduce red tape and raise the issues surrounding farm transfers and access to land.

Start with farmers’ realities

If elected, my first meetings will include farmers and the next generation. I want to understand the obstacles they face, establish priorities with them and begin working with the relevant ministries and agencies.

Access to land and farm transfers

The next generation must be part of these conversations. Access to land and farm transfers will be issues I bring forward in representing Berthier.

Reduce red tape

I want to identify, with farmers, the administrative steps holding back their projects, then raise those obstacles with the relevant authorities. Solutions must start with situations people actually experience.

Meetings, action and a progress report

My first 100 days plan calls for meetings within the first 30 days, work on priority issues within 60 days and an initial progress report at the end of 100 days.

This timetable covers my actions and follow-up. Resolving issues will also depend on the partners and authorities involved.
